The Postseason
Sixteen clubs, eight seeds a conference, every round a best-of-seven. The bracket below comes straight out of the league save and updates after each sim.
How the Bracket Works
Seeds
Eight clubs per conference. The two division winners take seeds 1 and 2, the two runners-up take 3 and 4, and the four wild cards fill 5 through 8, each group in order of record. The first round pairs 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5, and the higher seed has home field.
Rounds
Wild Card, Divisional, Conference, then the final. Every round is a best-of-seven, so four wins move you on. After the Wild Card round the bracket re-seeds: the best seed left plays the worst seed left.
Air
The whole postseason is called live. Rounds go out on the broadcast feed as they are played.
